Zawyer Sports & Entertainment strives to provide affordable family sports entertainment with an emphasis on quality fan experiences and community engagement while producing competitive sports teams and brands.
About Us
Zawyer Sports & Entertainment owns and operates the Jacksonville Icemen, Savannah Ghost Pirates, Greensboro Pro Hockey, Charlotte Checkers, Gastonia Ghost Peppers, the Community First Igloo, and 32 Degrees Marketing, a full-service marketing agency. Also included in the Zawyer Sports family are the Tahoe Knight Monsters and Ghost Pirates Ice, whom ZSE consults on operations for.
Zawyer Sports & Entertainment was founded by Andy Kaufmann in 2018 and is headquartered in Jacksonville, FL.
What We’ve Achieved
The Jacksonville Icemen led the ECHL in attendance in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and are consistently among the league’s leaders in group sales.
The Savannah Ghost Pirates led the league in season memberships and sold out 33 of 36 games in their inaugural 2022-23 season.
The Jacksonville Icemen hosted the 2021 ECHL All-Star Classic.
The Savannah Ghost Pirates hosted the 2023 ECHL All-Star Classic.
The Charlotte Checkers hosted the 2024 Queen City Outdoor Classic which drew a sellout crowd of over 13,000 to Truist Field in uptown Charlotte, NC.
